The ground floor is above the dungeons and basement, and below the first floor. It contains a number of courtyards, halls and rooms, including both the Great and Entrance Hall.

Up from the ground floor, at the top of the marble staircase, is the first floor. Both the Great and Entrance Hall extend up into this level.

The ghost of Moaning Myrtle haunts the second floor's abandoned bathroom. The level is less visited than other parts of the school, however makes for a secretive location.

The charms classroom, trophy room, and armor gallery are located here among other more hidden passages. Recently, the hospital wing was transferred to this level.

The library and Mirror of Erised room are both found on the floor. Once there was a passageway out of the school but it has supposedly caved in.

In on corridor stands the statue of Boris the Bewildered; the nearest staircase frm the statue goes down to the fourth floor.

There is a passageway between the bathroom and the marble staircase leading up to the seventh floor.

Various classrooms as well as the Room of Requirement can be found here. The Fat Lady guards the portrait leading into the Gryffindor Common Room.

Multiple towers rise up from the castle, reaching great heights and providing spectacular views. Certain classes are held here and the owlery can also be found.

An inn and pub in the all wizarding village of Hogsmeade. It is often warm, crowded, and a bit smoky, but clean and welcoming.

Both a pub and inn, the bar at the Hog's Head comprises one small, very dirty, and dingy room that has bay windows that are so encrusted with filth that you can barely see through them.

A sweet shop famous for its chocolate and its many, wonderful and wild sweets. During the Christmas season one can barely move due to the flood of visitors.

A quaint teashop located on an offroad; it's used as a popular dating spot, especially among the teenage crowd.

The Post Office houses at least two–to–three–hundred owls, ranging from Great Grey Owls to tiny Scops, hooting down from colour-coded shelves. The shelves are colour-coded based on how quickly they will arrive at their destination.

Gladrags is a clothing store that was founded in 1750 and run by Gladrags Wizardwear Group Ltd., with branches in London, Paris and Hogsmeade. It is full of quirky merchandise and appears to specialise in strange and unusual socks.

A shop in Hogsmeade that sells and repairs magical instruments, including Sneakoscopes. It is located at the end of High Street.

Tomes and Scrolls is a specialist bookshop in Hogsmeade. It was established in 1768. It's quite old and smells of a mixture of dust and parchment.

The M.O.M. is the main governing body of the magical community of Great Britain with the intention of preservation of magical law. The Ministry connects the British government to the wizarding world. The headquarters of the Ministry are in Whitehall, in central London, deep underground.

Built for the 422nd Quidditch World Cup in 1994 in the middle of a large deserted moor in Dartmoor, the Quidditch stadium is capable of holding 100,000 wizards at once, with halls draped in scarlet.
